Like Butta’ is a trio made up of Morty and Melody Mortenson and Jim Jernigan who came together and began carving out their own sound in the past year.
Like Butta’ play an eclectic blend of Americana music including some jazz and international folk tunes dated from 1855 to today. They mix old folk (Foster, Dylan, Prine,) with new folk (Garcia & Grisham, Griffin, & Gauthier). They might throw in some R&B (Temptations, Ry Cooder), C & W (Carter Family, Patsy Cline, Hank Williams) and always some jazz standards (Mills Brothers, Billie Holiday). They tailor their musical selections to the crowd response. So, whatever floats your boat, Like Butta’ has got you covered!
